Future of Scotland

For the 21^st century, future of Scotland seems to appear much brighter than the past few decades. In the 1990s, the discovering of oil and gas in the north see brought a new prosperity to the notrh of Scotland. Aberdeen has become an important harbour and industrial spot.

With money coming from the oil, Scotland has modernized itself and is now a dynamic part of the european union.

In 1999, the scottish parliament re-opened (it was closed from 1707). This gives more power to the scottish to assume their future.

Scotland also promotes tourism, which is a source for future economical development.
